The RLS building belonged to Henry Ford the establisher of the Ford Motor Company. The first stone was laid on 20 September 1948 in the reign of King Farouq.

On 27 October 1992 Mr. Mohamed Ragab bought Ford Factory and in 1993 founded Riada Language School after redecorating the building.

The school premises at that time consisted of the: K G department on the ground floor and the Junior department and administration on the first floor. The playground areas are on both sides of the school building.

In 1996-1997 the 2nd floor was built where the Middle and Senior schools and the I G C S E classes are now located.

RLS is now a complete school consisting of 4 departments; Playschool & Kindergarden, Junior, Middle and Senior school.
